How to get to San Gimignano
The nearest train station to San Gimignano is in Poggibonsi. You can reach this station in about an hour from Florence and then you have to take a local bus for about 30 minutes to San Gimignano. It’s probably easiest to visit San Gimignano in your own rental car. It’s an hour’s drive away from Florence and about 45 minutes from Siena. If you are traveling by car, be sure to ask your hotel about parking ahead of your arrival.
