2022 Italy Retreat FAQs

Dear heart,

What we have collectively experienced during the time of COVID has changed us. And it has changed the way we plan travel. Almost everyone has experienced some cancelled plans, and so we are mindful that planning travel continues to be fraught with all kinds of concerns. 

However, we also believe we still need travel. The best travel helps us to see life in a new way. It gives us new ideas and new energy. We even get to see ourselves differently. 

We think that being on retreat in Italy in 2022 is going to be extra special, and that you should be able to book it, insure it and relax, knowing that we are taking care of the details. We are watching the COVID regulations and the new information coming out every month so that you don’t have to. You can just put your much-longed for Italy retreat on the calendar and start looking forward to getting out there again. 

If something changes, we will let you know, but for now, heading to Italy next year is a go! 

We have no doubt that you have lots of questions about booking a retreat with us. We’ve done our best to answer them here, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we missed.

What happens if I can’t go on my retreat?

The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance, and we are requiring proof of travel insurance from all our guests. 

Travel Insurance can protect you in case: 

● you cancel your participation in the retreat 

● The retreat is cancelled due to teacher illness, emergencies, Acts of God, weather, pandemics, natural disaster, or not enough participants 

● lost baggage 

● medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured 

We recommend finding a travel insurance company that offers the option for a comprehensive “cancel for any reason” policy. If you cancel your retreat – for any  reason – your airfare, hotel, retreat costs, etc. up until 48 hours prior to travel, will be covered. Usually you must contact and purchase the travel insurance policy within 15 days of making your deposit with us and buying your airline tickets or incurring any costs for any part of your travel. You can also just insure your air tickets. 

Do I have to be vaccinated to go on an Italy Retreat?

Yes. Our whole team is vaccinated and our host team at Fattoria is too. Right now Italy is requiring travelers to be vaccinated, but even if that changes, we will require vaccinations in order to protect the safety of everyone retreat, as well as our hosts.

What happens if Radiant Jane Retreats reschedules because of Covid?

In the unlikely event that Radiant Jane Retreats must reschedule a retreat due to Acts of God, weather, natural disaster, endemics, pandemics, airline disruption, political upheaval, or if a guest teacher we’ve hired to teach at one of our retreats is impacted due to family emergencies, Acts of God, weather, pandemics, illness, natural disaster or political upheaval, we will not be able to offer a refund. Your payment will be transferred to the rescheduled date.

To cover any risk, we highly recommend that you purchase “cancel for any reason” travel insurance to cover your entire retreat costs.

What happens if Covid stops me from traveling before my tour?

If you are prevented from making a tour because of Covid — say you test positive, or a close family member does and you are quarantined as a result, or your flights are cancelled because of an outbreak in your area — you should contact your travel insurance provider about next steps. We require proof of travel medical insurance from all of our guests, and as of this year strongly recommend purchasing a “cancel for any reason” policy. We’re happy to point you to providers who offer them.

What are your payment and cancellation policies?

Deposit

To reserve your spot on a retreat, you will make a deposit via the payment button on the bottom of your retreat webpage. Deposits are made via Paypal. The deposit is non-refundable. (However, should you cancel your reservation 90 days or more before the start of the retreat, you may apply your deposit toward another retreat occurring within 36 months from the date of the initial retreat to which your deposit originally applied.)

Payment

When you reserve your spot, you may either pay in full or pay the deposit. For those who make a deposit, full payment for the retreat is then due 90 days from registration, and Radiant Jane Retreats will invoice you directly. You may pay with a credit card, Paypal, Venmo, or bank transfer. 

Grace Period

Guests have 7 days after placing a deposit to change their mind and get it refunded. After the 7-day grace period, this deposit may be used toward another Radiant Jane Italy Retreat for one calendar year from the date originally registered.

Cancellation Policy

Please note there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, family emergencies, endemics, pandemics, earthquakes, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, pandemics, illness, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance. 

If you cancel the retreat: 

90 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 

100% credit of the cost of the full retreat payment toward another Radiant Jane Retreat within 36 months. 

60-90 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 

50% credit of the cost of the full retreat payment toward another Radiant Jane Retreat within 36 months, and will forfeit the remainder. 

0-60 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 

No refunds or credits will be given.
